The “Education Friend of the Year” is awarded to an individual or organization that, over the past three years, has supported learners’ development, helped modernize educational institutions, fostered dialogue between schools and society, or carried out effective work to promote the value of education.
“I am grateful to our universities and rectors who nominated me. I am very happy about our universities’ collaboration. My work is possible thanks to wonderful colleagues, kindred spirits, and a supporting family that allows me to bring ideas about internationalizing higher education into practice. This kind of recognition helps to move forward, and I value it highly,” said Eero Loonurm.
Alongside Eero, AS Merko Ehitus Eesti and Dmitri Pšenitšnõi (from Tallinn Zoo and Tallinn Applied College) also received the “Education Friend of the Year” award.
