The QS Higher Education Summit 2023, an annual gathering of education leaders, policymakers, and experts from around the world, took place in Dublin, Ireland, from June 26 to June 28. Hosted by QS Quacquarelli Symonds, a leading provider of insights to the global higher education sector, the summit provided a platform for thought-provoking discussions, networking opportunities, and the exchange of innovative ideas in the realm of higher education.
"Estonia served as the international case study, highlighting the successful cooperation between universities and national agencies over the past decade. The Study in Estonia presentation also showcased the innovative approaches that Estonia has taken to enhance international student recruitment and promote educational excellence," added Eero Loonurm, Head of Higher Education International Marketing.
This year's interactive panels and workshops revolved around the theme: "Students at the Heart of Education: Mobility and Digital Transformation in European Higher Education." With over 300 attendees representing universities, research institutions, and educational stakeholders, the summit served as a melting pot of diverse perspectives and expertise.
With a focus on student recruitment, the summit featured discussions on a wide range of topics, including women in leadership, sustainability, entrepreneurial mindset, and post-pandemic diversification. Additionally, QS launched the 20th edition of the QS World University Rankings.
Study in Estonia is a cooperative initiative that introduces Estonia as a country offering high-quality higher education opportunities. All Estonian institutions of higher education that offer at least one program taught fully in English and internationally recognized can participate in the program. The activities of Study in Estonia are coordinated by the Estonian Education and Youth Board.
