Dr. Maria Gallo is a leading expert in alumni engagement with over 20 years of experience in higher education. Through her work, she has been able to help institutions around the globe develop innovative strategies for creating lasting and impactful relationships with their alumni. During the workshop, Dr. Gallo will cover all aspects of alumni relations and will guide you through the process of developing a strategic alumni roadmap for your institution.
Maria is the author of The Alumni Way: Building Lifelong Value from Your University Investment published by Policy Press and is a Research Fellow at Trinity College Dublin, Ireland.

Rachel Bray, Head of Alumni Relations at CERN (The European Organization for Nuclear Research)
Rachel Bray is the head of the unique and vibrant CERN Alumni Network, for which she was community manager from 2017 to 2020. Prior to this she worked 8 years in CERN's Engineering Department, in the domain of Product Lifecycle Management and 9 years within the IT section of CERN Supplies Procurement and Logistics Department. In her spare time Rachel is Chair of the CERN Clubs' Coordinating Committee, President and Zumba instructor at the CERN Fitness Club and board member of the Association of Sports Committees of European Research Institutes.

With more than 40,000 inhabitants, Pärnu is the fourth largest city in Estonia. Located along the stunning Pärnu Bay, this vibrant town is known for its beautiful beaches and historic architecture. Pärnu is a popular summer holiday resort town among locals and visitors and is often referred to as Estonia’s summer capital. Pärnu has a history dating back to the 13th century. Educationally, Pärnu plays a vital role in Estonia's academic landscape. It is home to several academic institutions, including University of Tartu Pärnu College and Pärnumaa Vocational Education Center. Pärnu was the city where first Estonian newspaper was founded (by a noted figure of the Estonian national movement - Johann Voldemar Jannsen). Pärnu is also home to Estonia's second oldest professional theatre, Endla.

Travelling to Pärnu
Travelling from Tallinn (Estonia) to Pärnu
Since Pärnu airport serves only domestic flights, it means Pärnu can be reached only by bus. Several companies, such as Lux Express and GoBus, operate regular services between Tallinn and Pärnu. The journey typically takes around 1.5 to 2.5 hours. You can catch a bus from the Tallinn Bus Station, and tickets can be purchased online or at the station. Buses depart from Tallinn Bus Station to Pärnu approximately every 60 minutes from 7.00 AM to 10.30 PM. You can purchase tickets and check out the detailed timetable on Tpilet.ee page.
